Insurance & Billing

INSURANCE WE ACCEPT

Before you schedule an appointment or procedure, always check with your insurance carrier to determine your policy’s benefits and any pre-visit requirements.

FILING CLAIMS

Carolina Regional Orthopaedics, PA accepts most insurance companies. Copays must be paid at the time service is rendered. We do ask that you be prepared to pay your coinsurance or deductible at the time service is rendered. We will file your insurance claim for you electronically, but in some cases, your insurance company will need additional information from you before they will pay your claim. We ask that you please respond immediately to their request because it is ultimately the patient’s responsibility to get his or her claims paid, although our billing staff maintains good contact and follow-up with insurance companies.

After your insurance company has paid and if you are left with a balance, you will receive a statement from our staff indicating the amount your insurance company has paid and your outstanding balance. Our goal is not to make this a burden on you – we are here to help! Should you receive a piece of mail from your insurance company that you have trouble understanding. Please contact our office at 252-443-0400 and our billing staff will be happy to answer any of your billing questions.
