Dr. Glenn E. MacNichol

Director of Pain Management

Board-certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology and the American Board of Interventional Pain Physicians, Dr. Glenn E. MacNichol is a highly experienced pain management specialist with more than 35 years of dedicated clinical expertise in the non-surgical treatment of chronic pain. As Director of Pain Management at Carolina Regional Orthopaedics, he is committed to individualized, patient-centered care that prioritizes each patient’s quality of life, functional restoration, and long-term relief through evidence-based interventional techniques and compassionate support.

Dr. MacNichol has been providing non-surgical treatment for chronically painful conditions in Rocky Mount since 2014. He joined our office in 2014 with 23 years of experience caring for patients with painful conditions. In addition to managing medications, Dr. MacNichol provides epidural injections, spinal facet injections, peripheral joint injections, neck injections, spinal cord stimulators, and radio-frequency treatments for painful nerves.

Dr. MacNichol remains actively engaged in advancing interventional pain management and patient education at Carolina Regional Orthopaedics. He contributes to the practice’s patient resource library, including the Neck & Spine Library, which helps patients better understand chronic pain conditions and evidence-based treatment options.
